This is the 73rd Annual Christmas Parade in Owensboro Kentucky!
The theme for the 2009 Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade is "Miracle on 2nd Street." Our 2004 and 2009 Christmas parade was named - - A Top 10 Winter Event!, a Southeast Tourism Society top 20 event (also for 2005) and an American Treasure. Seventy-three years of tradition come together this year to illuminate "Miracle On 2nd Street." Help us spark the magic of Christmas and the excitement of the season during the annual Christmas Parade held in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. Owensboro hosts one of the largest parades in Kentucky, second only to the Pegasus Parade in Louisville. We are the largest Christmas parade in the tri-state area. Please join us in downtown Owensboro Kentucky on November 21, 2009 for our version of "Miracle On 2nd Street." The parade starts promptly at 4:30 PM and includes lighted units for that extra special effect. Over 10,000 spectators start gathering early in the afternoon to get the perfect spot to watch over one hundred twenty units. There will be over eight marching bands, Shriner Clowns and their miniature automobile antics, fire trucks, beauty queens, miniature horses, dozens of decorated floats, elected officials and much more. Spend an evening in historic downtown Owensboro and spark that magical Christmas feeling, again
